One of the hardest things to do when writing a recumbent trike review is limit what you are comparing the trike to. It wouldn’t be fair to complain that an under $1800 trike doesn’t work as well as a trike costing $3000. Which brings me to the Terratrike Rambler. The Rambler is a great trike…
When Terratrike introduced their Rover trike in 2010. It is a comfy, rugged trike, and the most economical Terratrike has ever offered. This trike is made to fit anybody with a 400 lb rider weight limit, an extremely adjustable frame and the highest tadpole seat I know of.
TerraTrike carries tadpole trikes from economical to deluxe. We particularly stock their economical models which offer adjustable seat recline and direct steering at a moderate price point. Sound good? Stop in and take a ride!
The Terratrike Tour shares all the seat, frame, & handlebar features found on the Cruiser which are described above. It uses higher quality Hayes mechanical brakes which are easier to adjust and give good feel and improved power.
The WizWheelz Cruiser is the most economical TerraTrike with a good gear range for hills. They kept it ~$500 less expensive than the Tour by using less expensive components but the same frame-seat-handlebar setup.
The TerraTrike Path was introduced by WizWheelz in the spring of 2008. It uses the same frame, steering geometry, seat and handlebars as the Cruiser and Tour. It is less expensive because it only has 3 speeds.
